International Missions Dinner a Great Challenge

What a wonderful challenge we heard Sunday night from Rick Hedger as he spoke about the great need of sharing the Gospel with the people of Africa, and around the world.

Our International Missions Dinner was outstanding! We had a good turnout, and the food was a West African meal that turned out to be very good. A big thank you to all who worked so hard to prepare the food, and particularly to Betty F. for all her work in organizing and leading our Lottie Moon emphasis.

The need has never been greater. Our International Mission Board is preparing to reduce our missionary force from 5,600 to around 5,000 if something does not happen. The economic crisis has left the IMB several million dollars short of what is needed. Our giving to the Cooperative Program (our church gives 10% each month) and to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is crucial. So let's do all we can to reach our goal of $4,700 this year. Thanks for your generous giving!
