"Character is What You are in the Dark"
Integrity. Dwight L. Moody - the great American Evangelist said, "Character is what you are in the dark." In other words - when no one is watching.
This video report is about a homeless man in Arizona who found a backpack with $3,300 in cash in it. Instead of keeping the money, the man went out of his way to track down the owner and give it back. It turned out to belong to a young man who had intended to use the savings to buy a car. The young man reportedly rewarded the man with "an undisclosed amount of cash."
What a great example of integrity. That's how it ought to be. We know that if no other person sees or knows what we do, God does. We ought to do what is right simply because it is right. As followers of Jesus Christ, we have the added incentive to do what is right because we want to be pleasing to Him.
